Square Foot Gardening (SFG)
Big Muxima in partnership with Youth and Students for Peace - Angola, are developing the Square Foot Gardening (SFG) project for 3 orphanages in Angola (Africa) with almost 400 children and adolescents, predominantly girls. It´s a planting method that was developed by American author and TV presenter Mel Bartholomew in the 1970s.
With your help, we want to change the mindset of the young generation from the orphanages by teaching them that donations are not a sustainable way of living and that one day they must have the skills to work. But for this, they need support to be properly trained and
educated.
The project will cost nearly $14.000 USD per year. The equivalent of $35 USD per child/per year. It is only possible with the contribution from all. No matter how small your donation is, it will make a difference in the lives of approximately 400 children and adolescents in
3 orphanages.
